Quite often when a couple get married or renew their wedding vows they use a standard script as set by the vicar or registrar, these tend to be fairly impersonal as they don’t have much room to make it your own. We offer a service which allows you to have the ceremony of your dreams by designing it around you as a couple and what you want. That means that your ceremony can include the words, vows, readings and music that you want – not that you have to have or that everybody else has!

We essentially start with a blank canvas and will work with you to find out exactly what you want as well as offering you ideas and inspiration along the way. Holding a One Life Wedding Ceremony is a perfect alternative to a civil wedding led by a registrar or a church wedding because it means that you can choose exactly what you want it to include and it can be as traditional or unconventional as you want.

One thing that truly sets us apart is that you can hold your wedding outside or in an unusual venue, it doesn’t have to be licensed for marriage, (the marriage legalities must held separately by a Registrar).

We offer two different wedding packages and have just launched a wedding vow writing service ( as well, a great option if you’ve decided to include your own vows in your wedding but can’t put what you want to say into writing! This service is perfect for any couple even if you’re having a church service or one led by a Registrar; it’s a great way to make your ceremony that little bit more personal!"

Inspiring Mood Boards - Chic Beach Wedding

A couple of weekends ago, I attended the UK Alliance of Wedding Planners UKAWP two day course in Cheadle House, Cheadle.  I was in my element - 14 hours of non-stop wedding chatter with like minded wedding obsessed ladies!  I had a fabulous time, met some very inspiring ladies and really learnt a lot.

The UKAWP promote professionalism in the wedding industry.  I was lucky enough to meet one of their directors, the fabulous Kelly Chandler of The Bespoke Wedding Company, who was our tutor for the two days.  Assisting her on day two was the gorgeous Erika Unbehaun of Flutterfly Events

Day two set us the task of meeting with a potential bride at a mock consultation to discuss the day of her dreams.  In my case, a Chic Beach Cornish Wedding for June 2011!  It was great fun to get into character and plan a sophisticated, lavish affair.

The John Lennon Tribute Season will be a two-month cultural programme of events in Liverpool, which will celebrate the life of John Lennon.
From October 9 - which would have been John Lennon's 70th birthday, to 9 December - the day after the 30th anniversary of his assassination; organisations in Liverpool will join forces to host a series of live music, film, poetry and art events which are estimated to bring tens of thousands of additional tourists to the city.

RE: Wedding Ideas - current issue 88 - Pronovias 2009 dress???


I bought the current issue of Wedding Ideas magazine (issue 88) and have seen the most beautiful dress! it's on page 120-125. However they haven't printed the name of the dress, only that it is an ivory tulle gown from Pronovias.
They have also printed that the real life wedding couple 'Helen and John' (whose dress it was) were married in August 2009 so the dress is no longer on the Pronovias website as far as i can see...

I have emailed Wedding Ideas mag but they haven't got back to me.

"Hi everyone! I thought I'd give you a few tips on choosing your wedding stationery, the various items you can choose and how to coordinate it with your big day. Your stationery can, in fact, set the scene for your wedding. It is an exciting way of giving your guests an idea of what your day will be like and it’s often the first glimpse they will get into the wedding!

The first items to consider are save the date cards. These are usually sent as soon as you know your wedding date, at least 9 - 12+ months in advance of your wedding. They don’t necessarily have to match in with your theme – you may not have one at this point, but it can give you some ideas on what you’d like to go for with the rest of your stationery too. We offer postcard style and folded A7 cards to select from and we’re experimenting with magnetic save the dates at the moment. It’s a good idea to send these out particularly if the wedding is at a busy holiday time or mid-week. Some couples skip save the dates altogether and move straight onto the next step… invitations.

Invitations are the first key step to setting the tone and choosing them may help you decide on your flowers and other accessories, or vice-versa! Think about the sort of clothes you love, your ideal décor, and the place where you are getting married. This will help you decide whether you’re going for something traditional, vintage or modern. Which colours are you going for? Many of my clients choose ribbon colours on the stationery to match the bridesmaids’ dresses and send me a swatch of fabric so I can create the design in the right colours. All of our designs can be altered to match the wedding theme and colours, be it the ribbon, Swarovski crystals or handmade paper. We encourage our couples to choose their preferred wording or create their own for that special touch.

We recommend sending out invitations at least 2 months prior to the wedding. You'll also need to allow enough time for your stationer to make the items (we ask for around 3-4 weeks after approval of a proof). Consider having Pocketfolds or Cheque books; they contain not only the invitation but an RSVP and information card for details of hotels, directions etc. inside – we love making life simple! If you provide your guests with RSVP’s it often means they will reply a lot quicker and not forget to reply altogether. It’s always difficult chasing up those last few replies. Information cards are a flat piece of printed card, they can include anything you like, directions, hotel details or a map, or possibly a little poem for your guests.

Other items of stationery we term ‘on the day’, this is anything to be used on the day itself such as order of service, menus, place cards, table plans, favour boxes and much more. These items can be ordered much nearer the wedding day (usually around 8 weeks, earlier if you can!). They can also coordinate with the rest of the stationery, in fact it looks fantastic if you can match everything throughout. Of course, we are happy to help couples who just wish to order on the day items too. This doesn’t have to cost the earth, a few menus on the tables and place cards for all the guests sets the reception scene really well. Our table plans are very popular too, they are made on a boxed white canvas and again take your design and colour theme. Certainly less hassle for you and they look very smart!

You could also consider thank you cards to send out after the wedding to thank your guests for attending and for any gifts they may have bought. Most of the time my clients buy these at the same time as the rest of the stationery, it means you can have them ready with you before the wedding has even taken place. For those of you that are really organised, you can even start addressing them up or writing a message inside before the wedding itself, a strange concept I know!

One Fashionista in a Guy-Candy Store! Dress for Success Roadshow

Back in August, I blogged about 'Fashionistas in a Candy Store', the exclusive A/W'10 sneak preview evening held at the Liverpool Malmaison, hosted by none other than the delectable and Grazia magazine.
Last Wednesday evening, I was lucky enough to experience Mal Life again, this time with and Esquire magazine's Dress for Success roadshow. Yep, MW were back on the road to showcase their A/W'10 hottest trends to the fashion savvy men of Liver-cool. And boy, was I one Fashionista in a Guy-Candy Store! Working four keys trends, the male models were as delicious and cool as the Moscow Mules, (enough to knock your on-trend-on-show-coloured-stripey-socks off. Ankle flashing is so now).

What we drank: Moscow Mule cocktails and Moretti beer
What we ate: mini burgers, finger fish and chips, goats cheese and red onion marmalade tarts
Goody bag: A £50 my-wardrobe gift card, £5 Niven & Joshua gift voucher, lavender e shave cream, Myla black sheer briefs and November issue of Esquire magazine.

Male guests were spoilt to 'lifestyle stations’ offering advice on grooming from experts Niven & Joshua, 'shopping for your partner' from leading luxury lingerie specialists Myla, choosing wine for every occasion from Malmaison Someliers and style and shopping advice from and Esquire’s Fashion expert team.

With my-grooms in mind, my-favourite pick of the evening was the elegant glamour that referenced the modern bohemian gentleman; PS Paul Smith's black taped edge velvet dinner blazer teamed with a black spot bow tie and a black spot print silk dress scarf. This look screamed 'Daniel Craig', a worthwhile investment to rock both weddings and day-to-night alike. Simply dashing.

The preppy colleigate look showcased Our Legacy's navy angora and cashmere mix single breasted blazer with a two button front fastening (just DON'T button up the second one)! Dark denim and brogues completed the neat, well balanced look.

Lots of inspiration for Mr. Dreams Christmas box, from the weekend casual double breasted layered cardigans to the contemporary 3.1 Philip Lim grey cuff trousers.

We had the absolute pleasure to chat with my-wardrobe's PR director, the lovely Lauren, Niven & Joshua's marketing supremo (Niven & Joshua offer a selective collection of the highest quality skin care products and accessories from experts around the world) and Myla's lovely representative Krishma, who's beautiful array of luxurious lingerie was simply breathtaking. Lust List alert.

The highlight of the night HAD to be the exciting draw for one lucky guest to win a £250 gift voucher from my-wardrobe, a £50 gift voucher for Niven & Joshua, and an underwear set of own choice from Myla. The extremely generous girls and boys of my-wardrobe and Esquire certainly made MY-night! Thank you once again. Mwah.

Top Ten Tips to Ensure You Dazzle on the Dancefloor!

Dance classes and lessons are proving really popular due to the sequins and salsa spins dazzling the nation on a Saturday night. And a lot more accessible thanks to the likes of the UK's leading wedding dance specialist, First Dance UK.

"Do you really want to shuffle around the dance floor clinging to each other for your first dance?

Your wedding day has been fantastic! The speeches are over and now everyone is almost ready to boogie into the night. It’s then that you realise that it’s time for you to get up and lead the way with your First Dance. All eyes are going to be on you both as you take to the dance floor… Will you be shuffling around in circles? Or, will jaws hit the ground and spontaneous applause erupt as you elegantly take each other by the hand and expertly glide around the dance floor?

Here are our top 10 tips on how to make the most of your first dance:

1. Choose your song wisely
Your first dance song is meant to mean something to you both. It’s likely to be a romantic song, but it really doesn’t have to be. You both need to know and like/love it. Just ensure that you know the lyrics and they’re not about breaking up or similar (‘Nothing Compares to You’ by Sinead O’Connor is a fine example of this as it’s a beautiful song, but totally inappropriate because she has just lost her love!)

2. Have a go at dancing to the song
Grab your other half and pretend it’s your first dance. Give it a try and dance together in your living room.

3. Apply moves to certain points in the song
It’ll be much easier to dance to if you familiarise yourselves with the song and apply moves t certain point in the song. For example, if you can associate a twist, a kiss and a lean to a particular section in the song, you’ll soon build up a routine that you’ll remember and will be able to repeat.

4. If you really have no idea, and two left feet, get help!
Don’t worry! It’s quite normal these days that couples haven’t danced together before. There are plenty of places where you can now get dance lessons, whether they be regular group classes, or private lessons specifically for your first dance.

5. Ladies – think about your shoes and dress
Any time you dance together, make sure you wear shoes similar to the ones you’ll be wearing on the day. Also, if you have a dress that will restrict your movement by its size or cut then ensure you, or your dance teacher, take this into account.

6. Film yourselves
If you’re having lessons, film yourselves as you learn so that you can then reference the film and ensure you’re doing it correctly… as well as improving wherever you’re missing a step.

7. Practice, Practice, Practice
The more you can practice, the more natural it’s going to look on the day and the more fun you’re going to have.

8. Relax
This is the most important piece of advice. The more you can relax the smoother your movements will be and the more you will glide elegantly around the dance floor.

9. On the day - Just go for it
You’ve practiced and practiced and so by now your dance and song should be second nature to you. If you make a mistake, don’t worry at all, just carry on and get back on track when you can. In that way, no-one at all will know that you had a moment of ‘freestyle’!

10. Take a bow
Fantastic, you’re first dance is complete! Your friends and family are going crazy and had no idea you could dance so well together. Savour the moment and then grab everyone else onto the dance floor to boogie the night away."

Finding the Perfect Wedding Dress: Follow the '5 Ws Rule'!

Geraldine Pollock, Industry Expert and owner of Belles Bridal Boutique in Liverpool, invites us to share her Wonderful World of Weddings on this #Wedding Wednesday!

"So - you’ve found the one you want to marry, now you need to focus on finding the one you want to wear. For many brides-to-be searching for a wedding dress can be a daunting task – but fear not, by following Belles Bridal Boutique’s Five Ws rule’ your journey can become the enjoyable experience it should be.

W number 1 is for...
Who will you bring with you when you search for the dress? The most important thing to remember is to bring people along who will be positive, encouraging and share your vision of the big day. There is no room for negativity in the search for your wedding dress!
You might want to bring along your mum, sisters or bridesmaids but remember an entourage is not compulsory. In my experience, many brides prefer to attend initial appointments on their own. And if you know what you want, then follow your instincts and bring in second opinions if and when you need them.

W number 2 is for ...
Where will you go to buy the dress? Before making any appointments at bridal boutiques it’s a good idea to decide on your budget. There’s no point in making an appointment with a shop where the prices of dresses begins at £3000 if your budget is £1000 – inevitably you will see something you love but can’t afford and you don’t need this kind of heartbreak.
Once you’ve decided on the budget do your research – look at bridal shop websites and find out which designers they stock. Look at prices and, if necessary, call the shop and ask the price range of their dresses – this will save you (and them!) an unnecessary journey.
Once you’ve selected the shops you want to visit plan your appointments carefully. Make several appointments for one day – you will be able to try on a range of styles in each shop and they will remain fresh in your mind to enable you to compare. Don’t forget to leave enough room for travelling between appointments!
Make sure that you feel as good as you can on the day and start from the outside in – wear nice underwear, put on your make-up (although go easy on the fake tan!) and take time to do your hair. It’s not every day you try on a beautiful wedding dress, so it’s worth making the extra effort.

W number 3 is for ...
What is expected of both parties, the shop and yourself, at the appointment? Most importantly, you need to feel comfortable with the shop, the sales assistants and the whole vibe – buying a wedding dress is a massive spend financially and emotionally, so it’s essential that you feel right with all aspects of the purchase. Ask yourself: do I feel that I can ask as many questions as I like about the dress? Do they understand what I want from my dress? Do I look forward to returning to the shop for fittings? If the answer is yes, then you’ve found the shop – if the answer’s no, continue the search.
A good boutique will make sure you know the timescales for ordering; payment terms and contract; alterations costs – are they included in the price of the dress, or are they separate? What is the timetable for fittings? If necessary, write the answers down to these questions and store them for future reference.

W number 4 is for ...
When should I start looking for my dress? Most shops will advise that you leave 20-24 weeks for ordering, delivery and alterations – and this is generally a good benchmark timetable. However, it is NOT set in stone – manufacturers can sometimes bend the rules and put an order through in less time, although it’s not an ideal situation and could create unnecessary stress.
Ignore wedding scaremongers who tell you that if you haven’t ordered your dress 18 months before the wedding you’ll be a naked bride – this is nonsense! The best advice is to start looking casually at websites and magazines and then begin the search in earnest about a year to 10 months before the big day.

W number 5 is for ...
Why are you doing this? Sometimes the ‘why’ can get lost in the wedding chaos, but this is possibly the most important ‘W’ of all.. It’s not about the dress, the favours, the latest flower arrangements – it’s about the fact that you’re marrying the one you love. Take the time to contemplate what’s important – and forget about what’s not – you’ll appreciate this advice in the long run!

Looking for the dress should be one of the most exciting parts of the wedding journey – so make sure you enjoy every minute of it: share the time with your family and friends, enjoy the ride and cherish the memories.

And finally...

W is NOT for...

Worrying about not finding your dress – you will, probably when you least expect it.
Weight – by all means tone up and lose weight if you really have to – but be realistic in your expectations and you won’t be disappointed if you haven’t dropped 3 dress sizes before the big day.

Bespoken Dreams caught up with Faris to get his top tips on selecting the perfect wedding breakfast...

Can you relate to this to the ‘Amber Outside Catering’ ethos?
The whole of our team shares a love for what we do. Whether its our chefs love of creating fantastic dishes or our front of house teams love of making someone's big day that extra special. It's the love of what we do that reflects in our work. Without this love of food, drink and the whole event and catering industry in general, we wouldn't have achieved our great reputation and the outstanding results that we deliver.

Where and how did your catering career begin?
It began as a glass collector in my dads pub! It was then that I realised that a 9 to 5 office job was never going to be for me. I loved interacting with customers and seeing everybody enjoying themselves!

What inspires or influences your wedding menus?
The Wedding breakfast is a huge part of the day and as well as how lovely the bride looked, it's what people will remember and talk about long after the occasion. We have fantastic Wedding Breakfast menus which our Chefs have designed, they are often influenced seasonally with the quality of the ingredients and how our chefs cook them being paramount. We take time and effort to ensure that whether we are catering for tens or hundreds of guests. Every meal that goes out is nothing short of perfect. It's knowing that everything has to be 100% that inspires us!

Do you have any top tips for brides planning their wedding menu requirements?
Yes, think about your guests and think about what is going to be a 'safe dish'. What is going to please the masses rather than you personally. For example a dish like Venison, whilst a fantastic meat, might not be to everyones taste, then there's how to cook it- I myself and every chef I know would serve it pink, a lot of people wouldn't touch it less than well done! So your much better going with a dish like chicken or Salmon as a main course. A good caterer will know what seasonal ingredients will really lift a dish and bring out the best for the date of your wedding. Then of course, avoid messy dishes which could cause a few accidents!

Do you have a particular popular wedding day dish?
I'd say one of our most popular dishes is Goosnargh Chicken Breast with a sage rosti, baby root vegetables, French beans & onion confit Jus. It's popular because of all the reasons mentioned before.

What is the most extravagant request you’ve received and/or achieved?
We were doing the bar for an Indian Wedding, it was a very extravagant affair with no expense spared and they had a lot of unusual requests, which I'm happy to say we delivered. These included matching our cocktails to the same shade of blue as the brides dress, elephant ice sculptures & a cascading champagne fountain to name just a few!

What did you serve at your own wedding?
Ham Hock Terrine, Beef Sirloin with Fondant Potatoes, Vegetables, Brandy Sauce and
Raspberry & Chocolate Torte.

Other than your own, describe the best wedding you’ve ever been to.
Having friends from different religions I can honestly say that we've catered for and been to some amazing weddings...but If I had to choose other than my own it would be a friends Indian Wedding in Manchester, the venue itself was like something out of the Oscars with every food and drink you could imagine being available to guests.

What do you love about your job? What are the best bits? And the worst bits?
I honestly love seeing people happy, leaving with a big smile on their faces and knowing that its down to us! Word of mouth is everything to us and over 95% of our work comes from recommendations. I also love that everyday is different and enjoy challenges or requests which brides & grooms present us with. Nothing is too much trouble for us. I'm lucky that I genuinely do love what I do so I can't really think of any negatives? I suppose if I'm at an event where everybody is drinking and having a great time I just wish I could join in! Yes, that’s definitley the worst bit!!

Who would be your dream top table wedding guests?
I can't stand stuffy weddings! As well as my close family it would have to be some people who know how to have a laugh, get a party going and have a good few drinks so here goes...George Best, Frankie Boyle, Keith Lemon, The Gallagher Brothers and Girls Aloud...just for my mates to have a good look at, of course!

Rock and Respite Unique Fundraiser Event This Sunday...

Rock and Respite brings the cream of up-and-coming bands together in a unique fundraiser for Manchester’s celebrated Francis House Children’s Hospice.

The event seeks not only to raise some much needed cash but also to bring the hospice and its work to the attention of a new, younger audience. And for this reason, Rock and Respite have kept the ticket price nice and low. It’s not just about the money; it’s about spreading the word.

Francis House provides essential respite and terminal care for families with children suffering from life-limiting conditions and illnesses; all in a loving, comfortable and fun home-from-home environment.

Crucially, Francis House provides all this care free of charge to anyone who needs it. And plenty of people need it.

There are now well over 200 very poorly children and their families depending on respite care at Francis House and as that number increases, the amount of time each family can use the facilities steadily decreases.

So, to keep pace with demand, additional accommodation at Francis House desperately needs to be built. Of course, this all costs cold, hard cash and it’s where Rock and Respite wants to help.

The inspiration for Rock and Respite comes from Elizabeth, the severely disabled, seven year old daughter of the event’s organiser, Manchester photographer, Stephen Campbell.

Just like her friends at Francis House, Elizabeth loves music and when her father saw how positively even the most unresponsive children react to their music therapy, he knew using music to raise money and awareness was the way to go.

How did you get into the videography business?
After I left university I knew that I wanted to work with moving image but was unsure of where to start so I found another wedding videographer at a wedding fair who trained me up.

What inspires your style of filming?
The passion to capture the moment as it happens.

Videography is much more than a luxury for weddings because....
It captures your special day on film and will be a keepsake for generations to come.

Wedding preparations have really evolved over the last decade. How do you feel videography has changed over the years?
It began with a large video camera that Uncle Bob owned and thought it’d be a good idea to film parts of the day, now it has evolved into a more professional, elegant and essential service to have at your wedding.

What are the most requested songs from Bride and Grooms to accompany their DVD?
Greatest Day by Take That, Chasing Cars by Snow Patrol, Heartbeats by Jose Gonzalez, Chapel of Love by Dixie Cups and L-O-V-E by Nat King Cole.

What do you love most about your job? What’s the most challenging?

Any Bridezilla moments?!

One for the Boys...Grow a Mo Stag Do!

Tantrums and Tiaras: Crystals and Pearls for the Beautiful Girls

It's Tiara Tuesday!

A BIG SPARKLY welcome to Kelly Scully of Tantrums and Tiaras, tonight's Industry Expert!

Kelly began making jewellery aged just 12 years old, selling ‘the odd piece here and there’ to friends and family. As life commitments took priority, Kelly’s jewellery making stopped and it wasn’t until after falling ill in 2005 that Kelly found her passion in jewellery making again. In April 2007, as demand grew and ideas developed, Kelly resumed making and selling bespoke tiaras at her home studio in Bicester, Oxfordshire. Led by her strong passion and talent, the love affair with Tantrums and Tiaras began….

Kelly very kindly took time out from her Aladdin's Cave of Swarovski crystals, pearls, and freshwater pearls to chat to Bespoken Dreams:

“I find my design style doesn’t fit into one neat box. I love little pretty tiaras, but equally really enjoy making larger statement pieces. I particularly like converting vintage jewellery into tiaras or creating my own take on vintage themes. Oh and yes, of course I made my own tiara!”

What inspires or influences your designs?
Whilst I will look at what is happening in the bridal and fashion industries for current trends, I am totally against any form of copying. I have had the odd bride who will show me a picture of a tiara and ask me to copy it but this is something I refuse to do. I get my inspiration from everywhere. I have been stood on the underground before and something just came to me, and once driving through France I saw some lamp posts which gave me inspiration to incorporate into a design.
What is your most popular product?
There are two which have been our bestselling at the last two National Wedding Shows; Phoebe and Anne as the traditional type of tiaras, but the vintage inspired Victoria was the runway favourite.

What are the current trends for 2010?
There has been less call this year for the more traditional peak tiara and a huge swing towards side tiaras, particularly those which are either vintage or vintage inspired. I predict that this will continue into 2011 with the main focus on 1920-1940’s trend and style having a real influence. I think we’ll also see some creative use of feathers and birdcage veils to give a softer girly look.

What factors influence a bride’s decision in choosing her accessories?
There are many things which would influence the decision on accessories. Obviously, the dress is the biggest, but then the theme of the day, other heirloom pieces of jewellery being worn, matching with the rest of the bridal party, the hair, the shoes and what the bride’s mother and bridesmaids want all come into it. You also get the brides who are adamant when they come to see me that they don’t want a certain style of tiara, but then walk away with that style having tried it on. I had one bride recently who just couldn’t decide what between two of them and as such bought both, one for the ceremony and one for the evening.
At what stage in the planning do brides visit you?
Brides visit at all different times during the planning from 18 months to two years in advance, all the way down to the week before. This year though I seem to have been dealing with a lot more last minute brides, with about a month or two to go before the big day. I have seen brides at wedding shows who’ve just been ‘looking’ and then heard from them about a year later, when it is closer to the day.

What advice do you give your brides upon consultation?
The two main questions I ask are ‘have you got the dress yet?’ and ‘how are you wearing your hair?’ as both factors usually dictate what type of hair accesory the bride will wear. The main piece of advice I would give to start with is to suggest that a bride does not rule something out or in without trying it first. It’s amazing how many brides will be adamant they do not want a certain type of tiara but when they put try it is the one for them. When I’ve got an idea of style I can then pitch in with different advice on the type of band, how it will sit in the hair, how hairdressers can clip it in, height and other areas. The main thing is that the bride should be happy with the product she buys.
What’s the most extravagant order or request you’ve received?
Last Christmas I did a wedding for a bride who had 10 bridesmaids and 10 ushers and wanted cufflinks, headpieces and jewellery for all of them! December is usually a quiet month with brides winding down focusing on preparing for Christmas and come January 2nd it’s mad busy again. For this reason, December is certainly a good month to get a bespoke tiara made.
Have you ever experienced any in-store tantrums?!
I wouldn’t say that there are any in store tantrums to report on. The name ‘Tantrums and Tiaras’ was my husband’s idea and he will probably tell you that the tantrums are mine, although he has his own when the occasional bead ends up on the floor and he treads on them in bare feet! I’ve heard of “Bridezillas” but we’ve not had one at T&T. It may be our strong focus on delivering what the bride needs and wants that means there’s never any real need to have one. The ‘mother-in-law-to-be’ can sometimes cause more problems than they solve but I have yet to see an out and out tantrum…

Any 'exclusives' to share with Bespoken Dreams?
I am currently putting together next year’s collection and getting it all ready for my first proper photo shoot in October! I am really excited about both the shoot and the new collection. A lot of brides who have come for an appointment have zeroed straight in on the new collection (see picture above).
Do you have any top tips or words of wisdom for our B2B’s?
Sort your dress first and then come and see me. I have had a bride come and get a second tiara after she found the first didn’t go with the dress she had then bought.
We also advise brides to make sure they buy cuff links for the boys, it will stop the best man buying the novelty ‘don’t do it’ ones and you can also guarantee that one, if not all of the ushers and even the groom will turn up without a pair on the day.

What do you love about your job?
I love creating new pieces and being able to make something that will be in the wedding photo for years to come.
One of the worst things (of the job) is that some of the designs leave my fingers quite sore due to the wire that I have to use!
The wedding industry is a really nice industry to be a part of as everything about it ‘should’ be happy and exciting, but occasionally you do come across the rare supplier who can be a bit difficult. Fortunately, I get on with the majority of people in the industry including most of my ‘competitors’ and even recommend them if there is something I cannot do which I know they can.
And finally, who would be your dream top table wedding guests?
‘HOLLY WILLOUGHBY’ is who my husband has shouted to me in answer to this question, but tells me if she can come then I could have Tom Varndell present!
I would love to have Audrey Hepburn sat on a top table, but only to wear one of my Tiaras. I would have loved to have been able to have my grandparents with us on our top table too.

For Better or Verse - Bespoke Special Occasion Poetry

The best advice I was given last year when planning our wedding was to really apply our own personalities to each aspect of the day.
